Repairs and Restoration Work For 1903 Herreshoff Cutter
From 2004 to 2008, we undertook structural restoration work for the 1903 Herreshoff gaff cutter NELLIE, the first phase of her multi-year, multi-owner complete restoration. For the full story of the fascinating life, near-death, and rebirth of this yacht please see Classic Boat, a video tour with Wayne George, and the NELLIE web site.
Our work included removing and storing the original interior; replacing the stem, forekeel, keelson, horn timber, quarter knees, and transom; and installing new deck beams and deck.
