SEEKING BOAT YARD APPRENTICE.

We’re looking for someone to join our talented team at entry level to participate in all aspects of boat construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities may include: painting and varnishing, carpentry assistance, boatyard tasks (boat moving, rigging, hauling and launching, engine service), grounds/facility maintenance, and work on our waterfront and moorings.

A good work ethic, attention to detail, willingness to learn, ability to follow
instructions and ability to work well with other people AND work
independently are all a must!

SEEKING BOAT BUILDER/EXPERIENCED CARPENTER

We are looking for an experienced boat builder who will enjoy the challenge of turning out the highest quality work on custom new construction, restoration and refit projects. Experience with traditional and wood/ epoxy boat construction is preferred.

Timber framers, finish carpenters, cabinet makers and joiners looking to challenge themselves and expand their skill set are also encouraged to apply. Ability to build from plans, work independently and excellent attention to detail are all required.

SEEKING SERVICE MANAGER

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in all aspects of boatyard operations to become our Service Manager.

Our storage fleet of approximately 30 wooden boats require the utmost care and attention to detail. Overseeing the proper care and maintenance of these boats requires a dynamic and skilled individual who enjoys hands on boatyard work in addition to crew management and customer service. Responsibilities may include:

• Estimating, scheduling and crew management.
• Hauling and Launching
• Stepping/ Unstepping/ Rigging
• Engine/ Systems Service and repair
• painting and varnishing
• carpentry repairs
• grounds/facility maintenance
• work on our waterfront and moorings.

The right candidate will have: a minimum of 10 years boat yard experience; experience with wooden boat specific maintenance and handling; Excellent interpersonal skills and significant management experience. Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail are requisite.
