PAGAN

26′ Doug Hylan Top Hat launch, 2002
Good speed and sea keeping ability with low impact & noise

PAGAN is a joy to handle in any weather.

PAGAN’s strip planked topsides have been completed and bottom planking is beginning.

PAGAN was built as the prototype for our TOP HAT design, inspired by Harry Bryan’s Handy Billy.

Like Harry’s smaller design, PAGAN gives a very quiet and soft ride with low fuel consumption and excellent seaworthiness.

PAGAN is easily trailerable.

Her lines show flared bow sections and a tumbled home transom, giving her hull a classic elegance.

A 50 HP Honda motor drives her at 17 knots.

PAGAN’s outboard motor is enclosed in a covered well, keeping it out of sight and reducing noise.

PAGAN was built with vertical grained cedar topsides and a two layer marine plywood bottom.

This structure was all glued with epoxy resin, then sheathed with dynel and epoxy for low maintenance and abrasion resistance.
